The mRNAs of the BA-sensor FXR, the xenobiotic-sensor PXR, the oxidative-stress-sensor Nrf2 in liver (A), as well as their prototypical target genes (B: SHP for FXR, Cyp3a11 for PXR and Nqo1 for Nrf2), were quantified by the QuantiGene Plex 2.0 assay. Total RNAs were isolated from mice treated with various BAs at various concentrations in diets (n = 5 per group). Data are normalized to Gapdh mRNA, and are expressed as mean ± SE.
