LncRNA might function as Decoy and/or Scaffold to sequester secretase enzyme and hence hinders enzyme function, decreasing amyloid beta (Aβ) aggregation. It can sequester kinases to decrease tau hyperphosphorylation. LncRNA can also decrease neurofibrillary tangles burden phosphorylated, by keeping hyperphosphorylated tau proteins apart.
