Inclusion and exclusion criteria for the study participants.

INCLUSION CRITERIA EXCLUSION CRITERIA
  • Both sexes

  • aged 22–60 years

  • Clinical evaluation of the Ocular Surface:


 - None-to-Mild dry eye symptoms: itchiness, photophobia, burning, stinging, grittiness, tired eyes, redness, blurred vision.
 - OSDI <13
 - BUT >10
 - No Corneal/Conjunctival staining
  • Positive aptitude to participate in the study

  • Informed consent to participate in the study


Relevant organic ocular or systemic disorder and treatment.
History of genetic disease
Topical and/or systemic allergy or hipersensitivity to the substances used in the study.
Moderate-to-severe refractive error.
Clinical evaluation of the Ocular Surface:
 Moderate-to-Severe dry eye signs and symptoms: grittiness, foreign body sensation, burning, stinging, photophobia, tearing, redness, blurred vision, impaired visual acuity.
 OSDI >13
 BUT <10
 Fluorescein and Rose of Bengal positive staining
 Meibomian Gland Dysfunction
 Corneal Oedema
 Corneal abrasion
 Keratitis
 Keratoconus
Previous Refractive surgery (Laser or Intraocular Lens).
History of Anterior Eye Segment surgery (cataracts, glaucoma, keratoplasty)
Simultaneous participation in other study
Unable to participate in the study
