The following variables were also found to be insignificant on Cox regression and were thus excluded from the table above: sex, age, body mass index, smoking status, diabetes, hypertension, thyroid, symptom duration, pre-existing arthritis, chronic tear, medial tear, discoid meniscus, flap tear, chondroplasty, and receipt of a subsequent procedure.
