Scheme 1 — Cyanamide (NC‐NH₂, CA) loading by chemical vapour infiltration (CVI) inside [Cu₃BTC₂] (HKUST‐1) cavities followed by Cu²⁺ Lewis acid sites catalysed polycondensation (liberation of ammonia) under mild conditions (90–120 °C) to produce uniform graphitic carbon nitride quantum dots (2.22±0.68 nm).
