The relative locations of the three class II (HLA-DP, HLA-DQ, HLA-DR) and the three class I (HLA-B, HLA-C, HLA-A) molecules are displayed. The function of the class III molecules are not well defined, but they are not thought to be involved in antigen processing and presentation.
