Modified selective neurectomy. Illustration depicting approach deep to the superficial musculoaponeurotic system (SMAS) and platysma, multiple distal nerves are identified and tagged. Stimulation of each nerve is first performed, and cervical and buccal branches that cause downward or lateral excursion of the oral commissure and upper lip are transected.
