(A) 10 mL blood of a metastatic cancer patient containing 10 CTCs; (B) 100 mL DLA with 1010 mononuclear cells of the same metastatic cancer patient containing 5000 CTCs; (C) 100 mL DLA with 1010 mononuclear cells from a non-metastatic cancer patient with 45 CTCs that can lead to overt metastasis.
