In vitro activity of oleuropein, verbascoside and derivatives (hydroxytyrosol and caffeic acid, respectively) against bacterial strains representative for Gram-positive and Gram-negative pathogens. The minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) and minimum bactericidal concentration (MBC) values of each compound were determined by the broth microdilution method and expressed as µg/mL.
