The reactions involved in the preparation of fibrous composite: PLA→PLA–ALG–Na⁺→PLA–ALG–Cu²⁺. The structure of alginate is presented as a linear copolymer –[GM]_n– with homopolymeric blocks of (1–4)-linked β-d-mannuronate (M) and its C-5 epimer α-l-guluronate (G) residues.
