(A) Under control resting conditions, septin 2 filaments are localized at junctions of microvascular endothelial cells, and various junctional proteins are properly organized at cell junctions. (B) Loss of septin 2 at cell junctions leads to the disorganization of junctional components of microvascular endothelial monolayers resulting in loss of junctional integrity.
