Oxysterol-stimulated astrocytes compromise neuronal health. Primary neurons (13 DIV) were treated with the Late AD oxysterol mixture (10 μM) for 24 h or they were co-cultured for 24 h with astrocytes grown on cell culture inserts that had been previously treated with the same oxysterol mixture for 12 h.
