The micrograph with magnification 100x shows cells are morphologically normal at ( A ) day 1, ( B ) day 14, and ( C ) day 28. The majority of cells show crenation and spherocytes. A1 and C1 are magnified to show days 1 and 28. Samples were taken directly from blood bags, wedge smears were made immediately, and air-dried slides were stained.
