Table 2.

Regression equations for predicting Time 2 scores from Duff’s (2014) Development sample.

Predicted T2 R2 SEest
Hopkins Verbal Learning Test – Revised
 Total Recall 9.18 + (T1*0.79) .58 3.71
 Delayed Recall 8.87 + (T1*0.50) – (age*0.04) .50 1.88
Brief Visuospatial Memory Test – Revised
 Total Recall 14.13 + (T1*0.92) + (ed*0.43) – (age*0.14) .66 5.29
 Delayed Recall 0.28 + (T1*0.72) + (ed*0.18) + (sex*0.99) .66 1.88
Symbol Digit Modality Test 24.55 + (T1*0.86) – (age*0.21) .76 4.97
Trail Making Test
 Part A −15.10 + (T1*0.72) + (age*0.29) .63 9.93
 Part B −85.54 + (T1*0.57) + (age*1.56) .57 33.13

Note. All scores are raw scores. Age and education (ed) are in years, sex is coded as male = 0 and female = 1. R2 = squared value of Pearson’s correlation coefficient for initial and retest score, SEest = Standard error of the estimate. To calculate the Predicted Time 2 (T2) score, use the formula in the column titled “Predicted T2”. To calculate the reliable change score, use (Observed T2 – Predicted T2) / SEest.
