Trends of four relative Lin28/let-7 ratios in thoracically irradiated lungs at different phases of injury following irradiation. Since Lin28 and let-7 regulate cell differentiation via a mechanism that involves their mutual negative regulation, the balance between Lin28 and let-7 is important for determining cell differentiation fate. In this study, the four relative Lin28/let-7 ratios were analyzed to illustrate the role of the Lin28/let-7 axis in determining cell differentiation phenotypes.
