This semantic control network is intermediate between default mode network (DMN; in blue with overlap in cyan with SCN) and multiple demand network (MDN; in red with overlap in yellow with SCN). The network maps are fully saturated to emphasize the regions of overlap. B-C) The functional connectivity of this region with the rest of the brain revealed a large-scale brain network commonly associated with regions of the semantic control network.
