Estimated sample sizes for statistical designs required to reach a power of 0.8 and significance α of 0.05 for independent groups t-test in three white matter tracts across several microstructure measures. Sample sizes were estimated for 1% and 5% group differences according to means and standard deviations presented in Table 1. The standard deviations were assumed to be constant across groups.
