TNA treatment changed microglial morphology with no change in microglial numbers. (A) In Sham group some normal microglia with small cell body and long, thin branches. Compared to the microglia in Sham group there were more microglia with larger cell body and shorter, thick processes in mice treated with NS. TNA treatment obviously decreased the branches of microglia than in mice treated with NS or treated with TNA+ICI. Compared to microglia in NS-treated mice TNA+ICI treatment did not change activated microglia induced by TBI. A higher magnification picture was inserted for the red box in each picture.
