Prox-1DCTKO mice exhibit a significant hypomagnesemia (p = 0.036) compared to the Prox-1DCTCtrl group. For other metabolic parameters, plasma electrolytes, plasma aldosterone, 11-deoxycorticosterone, corticosterone, and urinary ion excretion, no difference was detected between the genotypes. Values are means ± SEM. n = 11 (plasma electrolytes), n = 13 (plasma Mg2+), n = 7 (aldosterone, 11-deoxycorticosterone, and corticosterone), n = 5 (body weight, food and water intake, urine excretion, urine electrolytes)
