Implants could be transplanted (A) under the skin (subcutaneously), (B) into the peritoneal cavity through laparoscopic surgery, or (C) outside of the body. Implant shapes could be (D) multiple microscopic small disks deposited in a fluid, (E) a thin device which is soft and the size of a credit card, and (F) rod shaped of the size of a 3″ pencil.
