GASAL1 regulates HTR-8/SVneo cell proliferation, invasion, and apoptosis through activating the mTOR signaling pathway. (A) Expressions of pmTOR and p4EBP1 protein were determined in HTR-8/SVneo cells treated by dimethylsulfoxide or mTOR inhibitor (rapamycin, 10 nM for 72 h). (B) Cell proliferation was detected by cell counting kit-8 assay at 0 h, 24 h, 48 h, 72 h, and 96 h in HTR-8/SVneo cell line. After transfecting with pcDNA-GASAL1, cells were treated by rapamycin (10 nM for 72 h). (C and E) Cell apoptosis and invasion were detected by flow cytometry and Transwell assay in treated cells. (D) Expressions of cell apoptosis-related protein (cleaved-caspase-3 and Bcl-2) were determined by Western blotting in treated HTR-8/SVneo cells. The data were presented as the mean ± SEM, n = 3.
