Kaplan-Meier analysis was used to plot the survival curve of all 123 ovarian cancer patients with expression of eIF4E and cyclin D1 proteins, and statistical significance was assessed using the log-rank test. (a) Kaplan-Meier curves showed that worse overall survival was seen in eIF4E-positive patients compared with eIF4E-negative patients (P = 0.012, two-sided). (b) Kaplan-Meier curves showed that the expression of cyclin D1 protein had no significant correlation with overall survival rates of ovarian cancer patients (P > 0.05, two-sided).
