Sensitivity testing of the RT-LAMP assay for the detection of HCV. Visual detection of RT-LAMP products by pre-adding HNB. Sensitivity was evaluated using serial dilutions of HCV-RNA (genotypes 1a, 3a, and 6) ranging from 100 to 0.01 ng/μl. The assay detected down to 10 ng per reaction of HCV-RNA for genotypes 1a and 6, and 100 ng for HCV genotype 3a, which resulted in an obvious color change from purple to sky blue in the reaction tubes (dashed box).
