2D isobolographic analysis of the combined use of 7.8-dihydroxy-4-methylcoumarin and 4-hexyl-1.3-benzenediol (a), 7.8-dihydroxy-4-methylcoumarin and gamma-octalactone (b) on the QS-controlled violacein biosynthesis in C. violaceum ATCC 31532. Isoboles are represented as straight lines connecting the EC₅₀ concentrations of each compounds. The points under the isoboles correspond to the supra-additive effect.
