Table I. Serum analyses.

Serum pooled from six PITPα+/+ and PITPα−/− mice each, varying in age from P6 to P9, were subjected to a comprehensive mammalian chemistry panel performed by Antech Diagnostics (Farmingdale, NY). Values represent the averages of triplicate measurements obtained from three different sets of mice. Parameters that differ significantly between PITPα+/+ and PITPα−/− mice are highlighted at top of the table. The abbreviations used are: APase, alkaline phosphatase; AST, aspartate aminotransferase; CPK, creatinine phosphokinase; ALT, alanine aminotransferase.
