d,l-Methadone-induced apoptosis is reversed by Ca²⁺ chelation with BAPTA-AM. *+pRS and *+pRS-shOPRM1 cells pre-treated or untreated with 50 μM BAPTA-AM (BAPTA) for 30 min then treated or untreated with 0.5 μg/ml d,l-methadone for 12 h were stained with PI and FITC-Annexin V and subjected to flow cytometry as described in Materials and Methods. Values are means ± SEM from three independent experiments (n = 3). **p < 0.01 and ***p < 0.025.
