Figure 5

The effect of colon cancer-associated transcript-1 (CCAT-1) on glucose and lactic acid levels in colon cancer cells cultured under different glucose concentrations. The glucose and lactic acid levels in the LG-CCAT-1 group were significantly lower than those in the LG-EV group (t=24.757, P=0.002; t=23.852, P=0.002). The glucose and lactic acid levels in HG-CCAT-1 the group were significantly lower than those in the HG-EV group (t=146.000, P<0.001; t=32.505, P=0.001). The glucose and lactic acid levels in the HG-EV group were significantly higher than those in the LG-EV group (t=271.000, P<0.001; t=43.600, P=0.001). LG-EV, empty vector transfected colon cancer cells cultured with low glucose; LG-CCAT-1, CCAT-1 silenced colon cancer cells cultured with low glucose; HG-EV, empty vector transfected colon cancer cells cultured with high glucose; HG-CCAT-1, CCAT-1 silenced colon cancer cells cultured with high glucose.
