The CHA2DS2-VASc score was based on derived EHR features by summing 1 point each for an age between 65 and 74 years, congestive heart failure, hypertension, diabetes, vascular disease, and female sex, and two points each for age of at least 75 years, or a prior stroke, transient ischemic attack, or systemic embolism.29
