All strains were closely related to six culture representatives and clustered into six subgroups (i.e. Stutzeri 1 and Stutzeri 2, Balearica, Aeruginosa, Xanthomarina 1 and 2). Strains in bold, representing each of the six subgroups, were used in phylogenetic tree construction presented in Fig. 4.
