Diagrammatic representation of the process used to classify the insect groups. For each target group, 333 randomly selected target group events are used together with 42 randomly selected events from each of the other groups, to classify the test data consisting of 50 unknown events. The accuracy of the classification is reported. This procedure is repeated in a loop 100 times, to account for stochastic variation.
