COL X immunofluorescence declined in pellets treated with PTHrP in vitro. After 3 weeks of culture in chondrogenic media pellets were fixed in 10% v/v formalin, sectioned, and probed with antibodies to type X collagen. Sections were imaged by fluorescent microscopy. The cell source nasal chondrocytes (NC), bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cells (BM-MSC), or coculture (CC) and PTHrP treatment is indicated at the top of the images.
