Mutant Δeda is defective in virulence on potato tubers. (a) Tuber slides were inoculated with Δeda and Δedd strains derived from Pectobacterium atrosepticum SCRI1039 (WT). The y axis shows grams of macerated tissues measured 72 hr after inoculation. The experiment had six internal replicates and was conducted on at least three occasions.
