Mechanism of inhibition of fatty acid oxidation in mitochondria in post-prandial state. Malonyl CoA generated from acetyl CoA derived from utilization of carbohydrates through glycolysis and TCA cycle by acetyl CoA carboxylase, inhibits the entry of long-chain fatty acyl CoA into mitochondria.
