Mann–Whitney U test indicates that women as compared to men are characterized by higher fmaxPeak values at which spindle range PPeak(f) maxima emerge. The Rüger area containes 16 nominally significant effects. 15 of these women vs men differences were significant at both of the more stringent criteria (p < .025 and p < .017), which supports the significance of the area.
