Brain metabolite levels of the glycolytic pathway after KE ingestion. Levels of brain glycolytic intermediates were assessed by LC-MS 30 min after the ingestion of KE (3 mg KE/g of body weight) or 0.9% NaCl. Plasma glucose and βHB levels were measured using an enzymatic assay shortly before cerebral dislocation (n = 10). ND: not detected; NS: not significant.
