Hypothetical relationship between α and β domains. Based on the configuration of the C and [CxC] motifs, a putative connection between α and β domains is hypothesized. The five [CxC] motifs and the two additional Cs distributed as [CxC]2-C-[CxC]3-C in the α domain appear to have been trimmed (shadowed) at the C-terminal end in β1 domain: [CxC]2-C-[CxC]2; at the middle in β2: [CxC]4-C; or at the N-terminal end in β3: C-C-[CxC]3-C.
