Ibuprofen piconol is a chemical suppressor of the csg2Δ growth defect on media supplemented with Ca²⁺ ions. The csg2Δ cells were plated on YPD + 0.5 M CaCl₂. Compounds from the Prestwick library were applied on filter discs (2 µL of 10 mM solution in DMSO). DMSO, a solvent, was used as a negative control. The csg2Δ [GDAP1] strain was spotted as a positive control. Plates were incubated for 3–5 days at 28 °C.
