Case rates are given to two significant figures. For students, confirmed case rates are calculated for early years settings, for primary school students in years 1 and 6, and for secondary school students in years 10 and 12 (by age). For staff, confirmed case rates are calculated for primary and secondary schools in aggregate only (excluding early years settings). SARS-CoV-2=severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2.
Includes teachers (median 245 000 [IQR 201 000–271 500]) and non-teaching staff including teaching assistants (median 348 000 [278 500–376 000]).
