Lean healthy and obese people with metabolic syndrome were treated with vancomycin for seven days. The intestinal and serum antibody response as well as the microbial activity was measured before and after treatment. The mean (standard deviation) results are shown. Statistical analysis was performed using paired t-test or Wilcoxon signed-rank test.
