Allergic sensitization indicates one or more positive reactions (wheal diameter > 3 mm) to any allergen in the SPT.

CI confidence interval, OR odds ratio, LBP lipopolysaccharide-binding protein.

*Analyses are based on the 356 subjects using data on allergic sensitization (19 with asthma, 167 with allergic rhinitis, 80 with atopic dermatitis, and 249 with allergic sensitization).

OR was calculated using generalized linear regression with the logitfunction.

Multivariate logistic regression adjusted for sex, age, body mass index z-score, parental asthma, allergic rhinitis, and atopic dermatitis, and household income (model I).

Multivariate logistic regression adjusted for sex, age, body mass index z-score, parental asthma, allergic rhinitis, and atopic dermatitis, and type of residency (model II).

§Multivariate logistic regression adjusted for sex, age, body mass index z-score, parental asthma, allergic rhinitis, and atopic dermatitis, and floor of residency (model III).
