Blebbistatin attenuated TGF-β1-stimulated fibroblast-containing collagen gel contraction capability. MRC-5 cell-containging collagen gels were treated with/without 2.5 ng/ml of TGF-β1 and 10 μM of blebbistatin for 48 h. The surface area of MRC-5 cell-containing collagen gel was measured using ImageJ software (n = 3, control group vs. TGF-β1 group: *p < 0.05; TGF-β1 group vs. blebbistantin group: ^# p < 0.05).
