Induced REST exhibits an inhibitory role in breast cancer cells. (A) REST expression levels were significantly increased by REST lentivirus transfection and epigenetic drug (5-Aza) treatment in MDA-MB-231 cells. (B) MDA-MB-231 cell proliferation was inhibited by 5-Aza and REST. (C) 5-Aza and REST lentivirus transfection induced an increased cell apoptosis.
