CFEZO inhibits HepG2 cell proliferation and colony growth. (A) The displayed cell lines were seeded at a density of 104/well in 96-well plates and treated with the indicated concentrations of CFEZO for 24 (dotted line), 48 (solid line), and 72 h (dashed line). The inhibition of cell proliferation was assessed by the MTT as detailed in the Materials and Methods section. The experiments were repeated five times in triplicates, and cell viabilities at each dose of the extract were expressed in terms of percentage of control and reported as the mean ± SD. *p < 0.05, **p < 0.01, ***p < 0.001, and ****p < 0.0001 compared to that of control. (B) HepG2 cells were seeded onto a six-well plate at 1,000 cells/well and treated with the indicated concentrations of CFEZO and assayed as has been detailed in the Materials and Methods section.
