A. Representative pictures of PDGRβ and α-SMA staining performed on paraffin sections at T0 (before ischemia) and 24 h after reperfusion (T24 CTRL). At T0, PDGFRβ+/αSMA+ cells were rarely detectable (zoomed image) and α-SMA was localized in the arterial wall (white arrow). After 24 h from I/R injury, the number of these cells dramatically increased (T24 CTRL). Magnification 630x. B. Results are expressed as median ± IQR of five independent pigs for each group.
