Representative example of an experiment using a pro-amnesic dose of delta9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC, 10 mg/kg, i.p., light colour) in CD1 and C57BL/6J mice, or its vehicle (VEH, dark colour) as control, administered after the training session. The exploration time (seconds) in the familiar object (F); the exploration time on the second object in the training session (F’); the exploration time in the novel object (N); the total exploration time (ET = F + F’ or ET = F + N); the percentage of exploration time devoted to each object during the training and the test sessions (% ET = [ F/ET ] x 100; % ET = [F’/ET] x 100; %ET = [N/ET] x 100); the discrimination index is calculated for the test session (DI = [N – F]/[N + F]).
