Analysis of Tasmanian devil CD200 using the SignalP 5.0 algorithm to determine the probability of having a signal peptide. The output suggests that the CD200 SigP has a 40% chance of leading to a secreted protein. We used this native CD200 SigP for a CD200-mTagBFP and CD200-mOrange FAST proteins and we recovered an adequate yield of these proteins in supernatant, suggesting the CD200 SigP is sufficient for FAST protein secretion.
