(A) HeLa S3 cells were cultured in DMEM with 10% FBS and treated with vehicle (0.1% alcohol), 100 nM, 200 nM, and 500 nM calcitriol. Cell count at day 0 was arbitrarily set as 1. Data shown are proliferation fold changes following 6 days of treatment. (B) HeLa S3 cells treated with 0.1% alcohol (control), 200 nM, or 500 nM calcitriol for 72 h were harvested and subjected to flow cytometry analysis to determine the proportion of cells at each cell cycle phase. ModFit software was used to analyze flow cytometry data.
