GPRP decreased the infiltration of CD11b-, F4/80-, MPO-, and S100A9-positive cells in colons of DSS-treated mice. (A–D) A solution of 3% DSS was administered in drinking water to C57BL/6 mice for 7 days. GPRP (100 mg/kg) or distilled water was injected intraperitoneally every day for 7 days, n = 4 mice/group. Colons were harvested and sections of colon tissues were immunohistochemically stained for (A) CD11b, (B) F4/80, (C) MPO, and (D) S100A9 with corresponding antibodies. Scale bar = 50 μm. Ten random fields (200×) were photographed for each section. The average number of positive cells per field is presented.
