Plasma proPO is cleaved and activated by active rCLIPB10_Xa. (A) Purified recombinant proCLIPB9_Xa or proCLIPB10_Xa were activated by Factor Xa, and was added individually to M. sexta plasma. The Western blot of the reactions was probed with anti-M. sexta PPO antibody. Black arrows indicate the band that correspond to M. sexta PO. (B) PO activity was observed when plasma was supplemented with activated CLIPB9_Xa or CLIPB10_Xa. Data are shown as means ± S.D (n = 6).
