Stiffness was defined as passive forward flexion ≤ 120° or as passive external rotation ≤ 20° with the arm at the side. The sample exclusion criteria were as follows: revision rotator cuff repair, history of labral repair, non-adherence to the postoperative protocol, and stiffness recurrence without resolution at final follow-up.
